2. How we use information

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or tracking across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not sell or rent it. We do not use third-party analytics SDKs.

3. Who processes it

We use these service providers, each only for the purpose listed:

Beyond that, we share information only with other players as described above (your username, outfits, profile and moves), or if the law requires it.

4. In-app purchases

All purchases are made through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment and handles receipts and refunds. We receive a confirmation of what was bought so we can deliver it and restore it later. We do not receive your card number, billing address, or Apple Account password.

5. Retention and deletion

Delete your account any time. In the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete account. This removes your account, username, cloud save, public profile and relationship data from our servers and wipes progress on the phone. It cannot be undone. Signing out only removes the local session. You can also email foldout.support@gmail.com and we will delete your account within 30 days. Game Center data (such as friends) is controlled by Apple and can be managed in iOS Settings.

6. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us (see below). We respond within 30 days and may need to verify that the request comes from the account holder.

California residents

Under the CCPA/CPRA you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose (it's listed in section 1), to delete it, to correct it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising and have not done so in the preceding 12 months. You can exercise your rights through the contact details below; an authorized agent may act for you with written permission.

European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland

We process your data to perform our contract with you (running the game and your account), for our legitimate interest in keeping the game working and fair, and where required by law. You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Our services are operated from the United States and your data is stored on Firebase servers that may be located in the United States; transfers rely on the providers' standard contractual clauses.

7. Children

FOLDOUT is rated for ages 4+ but its online features (accounts, matchmaking, friends, profiles and purchases) are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under the age of digital consent where you live). Playing on one phone needs no account and sends no data. If you believe a child has created an online account, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with industry-standard providers with access rules that restrict each player to their own save. We keep as little as possible so there is little to lose, but no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new effective date, and for significant changes we will say so in the app. Continued use after the effective date means the new policy applies.
